Bio:

John was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where he dreamed of being a professional baseball player (as well as an astronomer, geologist, chef, paleontologist, archaeologist, and meteorologist). When baseball (and everything else) didn’t pan out, John decided he would take his passion for writing and making people laugh (or angry, depending on their outlook on life) as his primary focus.

Because you need a niche to be relevant in any creative outlet, John decided to spend his time letting people know that things aren’t as bad as they seem, which is ironic considering his generally skeptical and cynical demeanor. However, you can’t deny the proof. Despite what the media tries to portray, life today isn’t as bad as it used to be.

John graduated from East Carolina University in 2012 and 2014 with his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English. When he’s not writing his next book, he goes out to explore waterfalls in the mountains of North Carolina and manages Easy Waterfall Hikes. When he’s not doing that, John is producing his own music, watching NASCAR, or playing golf.

Most important, John has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Maybe you picked up on that already. The sneaky thing about autism, however, is that it’s different for everyone. If you’d like to learn more about it, John is happy to chat.
